whadabout the old xyklan version? the very first one?

ooo, i'm making a recreation of the "gates" i'm just having some issues with the "light" because i have the two gates open but then theres a light ray comming through, i just don't know how to make it look at the very top.... ah and i don't know i'f the print that i plan on inserting quite makes fits in.... and it's latin....
and the door looks2D while the mountain is 3D.....

ya way, i guess it's sort of fan art, but i need your help, what colour are the gates and... is light comming out of them or going in? i also have them on top of a the steep-mountain-thingie. (right? the one steel flyes up but are otherwise almost inaccessible?) also, what kind of thing is on the door, picture/words/plain? and how does latin sound if there's any text?

That's alright.
Take your time!

They're really shiny black, like volcanic glass. Highlights are a very, very deep green. The light is pretty dim, like it doesn't radiate that much, but if you're adding it for effect, it comes from the Gates. The mountain is the same color as the Gates. Yes, it is very steep, with ridges and crap like a giant curtain. The things on the Gates are like... caveman drawings of dragons and other myth creatures that appear on Earth after the meteorites hit. The letters... they're very angular and boxy, like the text in Stitch. If you haven't seen Stitch... I could draw some up real quick. Check my scraps for them.

shinny black? that's kind of a saviour! i was trying to make them red but you'd have no idea how hard it is to blend that colour into the surroundings with this picture colours.
